Dear Players, Parents and Caregivers,

 

Season 2025 has drawn to a close and our annual general meeting is scheduled for Thursday 6^th of November at 6.30pm at Hayes Oval. We encourage you all to attend (bring a chair) and in preparation, ask that you review the documents available via the below links.

 

Executive committee positions, as well as other important committee and ancillary roles are open for nomination / EOI. We need all hands-on deck to help season 2026 run smoothly. On the nomination form is information about each role, including approximate time commitments. If you require more information on any of the roles, feel free to reach out to me on 0433854110.

 

To make workload reasonable and the season enjoyable for everyone, it is critical that every role is filled, or a handful of people end up taking on multiple roles and the workload becomes unreasonable. It doesn’t matter what your level of experience is or how much or little time you can give, as many hands make light work and there is a role to suit everyone, lots of support and training and flexibility for those who do work full time. Don’t be afraid to put your hand up - every volunteer is valued immensely, and each person’s support and contribution is greatly appreciated.

 

It has been a pleasure to lead the club in the role of President in 2025. I can’t speak highly enough of our amazing club and the great people in our club. It truly has been a rewarding experience to be a part of the committee, and I have been extremely proud of what we have achieved this year. However, I will not be nominating for the role of President for season 2026. Our boys are still keen to play and we hope to still be part of the club next season, however we have moved out of the district to be closer to work, university and school and my work commitments / responsibilities will be increasing next year and therefore I cannot give the same level of commitment in 2026 as President. I am more than happy to support anyone who wants to take on this role or any other role in the club and will always make myself available to provide guidance and support.
